Cursed Freedom

Her cursed heart.
She hurts,
No tears escape her desperate eyes.
Blood leaks from her finger tips,
She wants to scream,
But it's silenced by her own voice.

"I can't"

Her cursed armor.
She tries to remove it,
It sticks to her body.
Like a chain with no key.
She is trapped in her own armor of protection.
Little by little scratches are made,
She brushes it off thinking nothing of it.

"I can't"

A cursed mask she wears upon her face,
Hides the truth behind the shadows.
A mask of smiles and happiness,
A mask of no emotion.
No one hears her true words spoken,
I'm sorry or please stop it.

"I'm free only once"

Only once is she free of her armor,
Only once is she free of her mask,
Only once is she free to speak her heart out.
Only once does this happen when it breaks and repairs itself,
The next day is all the same.
And she waits for the next time she is free again.
